# Father-of-one, Craig Westby
Craig had split-up with his girlfriend in January this year, and took it very hard. He wanted to be dearly with her, and this prevented him from getting over the break-up. He spiralled into depression and would often send texts to his mother over Whatsapp saying that he had lost interest in life, and this life was not for him.
# Moments before suicide
Three days before killing himself, he had texted his mother asking what the best method to kill himself would be. He had talked of such morbid stuff earlier too. Just moments before committing suicide once and for all, he made a video of himself making the preparations and sent it to his mother over Whatsapp. But she only saw it at 7am in the morning when she woke up, and it had already been six hours since he had killed himself!
# Declared suicide
The coroner recorded the cause of death as hanging and concluded that Craig had committed suicide at North Staffordshire Coroner's Court and said: 'Men are not as able to face the breakdown of a relationship in the same way as women can.'
