Haven’t we all heard that we shouldn’t walk on the streets while texting on the phone? But no one really seems to follow the instructions. We think “What can ever happen to me? I’m not that dumb that I won’t focus on the path ahead!” But then, some people do have to pay the prize. Like this young lady here.
This happened in the streets of Miayang City in China. This girl was texting her friend while walking. She failed to notice the barred drain ahead and fell and got her leg stuck in between the bars. He leg was stuck so tightly that no common man could help her get it out.
The fire brigade arrived at the scene 45 minutes later and was able to rescue the girl by stretching the bars to the sides. Fortunately nothing much was injured other than her ego. She just got minor scratches and bruises on her leg.
So this here is a lesson for ALL of us: don’t text and walk. Stop, text, put your phone away and then walk again with your eyes on the road. Your safety is in your hands.
