A while ago, while the two were asleep, Jedi sensed that Luke seemed to be in a critical condition.
Luke’s mother was asleep in her room totally unaware of her son’s condition. Jedi woke her up by jumping on to her bed.
As soon as Luke’s mother Dorrie saw him she realized that something was not right. On taking a reading she found out that his blood pressure had gone too low as he was suffering from diabetes.
Jedi sensed the changed in Luke’s sweat and was thus able to warn Dorrie to take action while there was still time. It is believed that Jedi had been given training in medical assistance as a pup.
Jedi takes a coloured baton to Dorrie whenever he senses danger around Luke. He even raises his paw when Luke’s blood sugar goes high.
Jedi has been Luke’s savior since the past three years now. He is rewarded for his services through a ‘puppy party’ where he receives hugs, treats and a lot of playtime.
Dorrie often posts about the two on a Facebook age including passages about challenges one faces with an ill child. Through the page she hopes to raise awareness about the disease.
