Are you scared of giving your newborn meat and veggies? Meet little Grace, who has been on paleo diet since birth. Shan Cooper, an avid fitness guru, kept her baby girl on a meat, veggies, and heavy diet since she entered into this world. I am sure after reading this you would not be scared of giving paleo diet to your new-born.

Shan claims that since her birth, Grace has fallen sick only once and has a stronger immune system because of her diet. Dietitians warn other mothers, following her footsteps would not be beneficial and could harm their babies in long run.

You will be surprised to know her regular morning meal includes: Eggs fried in coconut oil, sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli, scoop of sauerkraut and a quarter of avocado. Unlike most parents, Brisbane mother Shan Cooper never feed her baby with a packet of mashed peach puree, toast with crusts cut off or Coco Pops. Grace likes to eat organic chicken and a plate full of vegetables.

The mum has an agricultural science degree and has written a healthy recipe-book. Her thirst for knowledge led her to acquire certificate IV in fitness. When interviewed by Daily Mail Australia, she told, “I spent a lot of time around other kids who on and off remain sick – they have coughs, colds and snotty noses all the time. It’s certainly not because I’m shielding her from any of that stuff but I absolutely think a paleo diet is giving her a strong immune system”. Further she said, her new-born girl was only once attacked by cold since her birth.

She first discovered nutrient dense diet around five years ago. After reading a book she had worked hardly to redesign her diet, cutting out gluten, diaries and then processed food. Along with that diet I breastfeed my baby twice a day. Here she is with her little family, getting their stack of vegetables and fruits for a week.

We all know her love for fitness and nutrition. Kitchen is her heaven, she also teaches cooking classes and discovers different nutritious ways of eating. She is an encouragement for all mothers who are scared of feeding their child paleo food.

Look at the picture below, how cute she is looking, munching broccoli (an edible green plant from cabbage family). Grace loves steamed broccoli, told by her mom. In the list of vegetables, Broccoli is one of the most nutritious vegetables, contains excellent source of calcium, iron, protein and other sources of vitamin C. You can introduce it to your baby after 8 months or older. Remember, giving your baby nutritious food at the right time will help them to learn eating these foods at their young age.

How comfortable this cute little girl is in eating meat and bones. Every time, Ms Shan Cooper introduces new foods to her kid and making her habitual of eating nutritious diet.. I know after reading this story, you will not be scared to give your child meat.

I’m not going to stop her go to kid’s parties. She will definitely go at parties and eat what is there. I’m hoping to teach my kid what foods make her feel good. When she goes to parties, she’ll be old enough to choose what she likes. I know she will inevitably consume large quantity of sugar in cakes and candies but I am sure she will quickly learn her lesson. She further said, “She’ll probably come home jacked up on sugar and cake and say, Mum I don’t feel very well”. And next time instead of eating 12 cupcakes she might only eat three.

She ended up her interview saying, “I don’t want to control Grace diet forever, while her current diet is optimal. She stated that I want her to experiment and figure out what is best for her. She doesn’t want to be kind of typical mothers who’s always busy telling their children what to eat and what to not. I want her to eat what makes her feel good”.
